Virginia V Olson
Hilbert, WI
Virginia V. Olson, age 71, of Hilbert died following a courageous battle with emphysema on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton.
She was born September 8, 1936 in Marinette daughter of the late George & Beatrice (Willette) Hephner. She married Lewland Olson on September 17, 1954 in Pine City, MN. The couple farmed together in the Town of Rantoul and later, Virginia worked at Chilton Metal Products until her retirement. Lewland preceded her in death on April 30, 2001.
She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, formerly St. Augustine Parish. Virginia enjoyed listening Country Western Music and going to Rummage Sales throughout the area. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include 3 children: Wayne ""Bobo"" (Carol) Olson of Chilton, Debbie (Ron) Beattie of Kiel, June Olson & Fiance Scott Alberts of Cecil, WI; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; a brother: Robert Hephner; and 4 sisters: Rosie Otterson, Delores Lenz, Jeannette Luetjen and Mary Hephner. She was further preceded in death by 2 brothers: Jay and William Hephner; and 2 sisters: Patsy Sodke and Mae Ewert.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 AM on Monday, March 31, 2008 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton with the Rev. Bob Kollath officiating. Burial will be in the St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Sunday March 30, 2008 and on Monday at church from 10:00 until 11:00 AM when the service will be held. A parish vigil service will be held Sunday night at the funeral home at 7:30 PM. The family would like to thank the entire staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Unit 2 and 4, and Dr. Pleviak for all of the loving care you provided for Virginia. Another special thanks to Virginia's coffee clutchers, Tammie, Pat, Char, Dorothy & Lane for all of their love, support and prayers.
