It seems people are more invested in Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's marriage than anyone thought. Fans have been speculating that their relationship is on the rocks for a while now, and reports have claimed that J. Lo is done trying to save their marriage, but Ben Affleck's exes are insisting they give it another try.

Gwyneth Paltrow is allegedly "following the situation closely" and helping Ben through it, and has now nominated herself to be a mediator and help them work out their issues, a source revealed. Previous reports stated that Jennifer Garner is also encouraging the father of her children to fight for his marriage, so she's not the only one who thinks they should keep trying.

As fans continue to worry about Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s allegedly troubled marriage, Gwyneth Paltrow is trying to offer her ex some comfort. The two actors dated on and off from 1997 to 2000, and they parted on good terms, so she worries about him and wants to help him get through this difficult time.

“Gwyneth has been following the situation closely and believes really strongly that she could help them by sharing some of the tools that worked for her and Chris Martin,” a source revealed. “People ask her for that kind of help all the time, but she’s very picky about who she’ll give her time to. Ben isn’t just anyone though, she’s been friends with him for nearly 30 years and she hates to see him going through this sort of pain.”

It’s not just about comforting a friend, though. Gwyneth actually wants them to work things out, one way or another, and she reportedly offered to mediate between them, for their sake and their children’s.

“She knows he’s far from perfect and she’s got enough distance to act as an impartial mediator for him and J. Lo,” the insider explained. “She’s offered to try and help them get back on track but if it comes down to it she’s also got the skills to help them navigate the divorce with spiritual techniques, and practical advice to make it easier on them and on their kids.”

“It’s typical Gwyneth, she always loves to meddle, but at least her heart is in the right place,” the source concluded.

Jennifer Lopez's Problems With Ben's Exes Meddling

While Gwyneth Paltrow might have the best intentions, Jennifer Lopez will likely not be happy with her suggestion. Ben Affleck and J. Lo are now living separately, and Gwyneth is not the first of Ben's exes who has reportedly stepped in to help the actor after the news broke.

Jennifer Garner has been spending a lot of time with Ben Affleck recently, and is apparently encouraging him to work things out with his wife.

"Jennifer Garner is encouraging Ben to work on his marriage to Jen," a source told Us Weekly. "She fully supports their relationship and wants nothing more than for him to be happy."

Despite this, J. Lo is not happy with Ben discussing their marriage with his ex.

"Everyone knows that Ben and Jen remained very close after their divorce. He confides in Jen about everything, even his issues with J Lo," a source explained. J. Lo is upset that the actor relies on Jennifer Garner for "advice and emotional support."

Knowing this, Gwyneth Paltrow's offer to mediate will most likely get turned down.
