One in 5 of your employees could experience domestic abuse in their lifetime. Organisations can play a crucial role in supporting their people through these times. The Employers' Initiative on Domestic Abuse has created this handbook, with downloadable policy templates, guide books for managers and individuals. Please take a look and reflect on what your organisation has in place and see if any of these resources can support your staff. https://lnkd.in/e-FXCem2#healthierhappierconstruction

Are people in the construction industry lonely? Particularly for those that regularly work away from home? Loneliness is a part of life and something that most of us experience at some point. But when loneliness is severe or lasts a long time, it can have a negative impact on our health and well-being. This article is well worth a read for anyone that relies heavily on their EAP for workers support. It references the radio 4 investigation that was actually shocking to listen to (check that out if you haven't). Like many health and wellbeing services, do your research, understand the SLA's, and look at their evidence base for how they do their work. We support organisations with setting up their OH programmes and this is such a fundamental aspect of ensuring you are getting the service you deserve. https://lnkd.in/en5C6r6c
